RONDO is Burmester entry-level stereo system. The main goal in designing the RONDO system was to build a true Burmester system with all the typical virtues at an affordable price. The RONDO system like all other Burmester products is of highest quality handcrafted in Germany.
The system consist of the integrated amplifier 991, the CD player 92, the Tuner 993, the floor standing speaker 995 MK2 and the compact loudspeaker 022. Of course, each component is also available individually.

The 991 Integrated Amplifier is direct descendent of the legendary big Burmester Amps. It is a DC-coupled design with balanced signal paths. It has no capacitors in the signal path. Utilizing very high damping factor and outstanding load stability derived from an oversized custom-designed 300 VA transformer, therefore it is able to handle even the most difficult load down to 2 ohms. The 995 Mk2 is a three way speaker with a loaded woofer. The company’s goal when developing the 995 is to create a full range speaker which is capable of great dynamic response while at the same time able to do justice to the tonality and subtleties of instruments and voices and the rhythm of the music. With the 022, Burmester is for the first time introducing a speaker with really compact dimensions. It is now possible to realize the goal of creating a sound converter for confined spaces as well as for use in a home theatre set-up, while still adhering to the Burmester quality standards.

After Rondo comes Classic Line. It is basically designed using the topology from Reference Line but housed in a more affordable enclosure to keep the price down. However, no one will be mistaken by the appearance of the products, since it still bears all those exclusive trademarks from the Burmester brand.

The Power-Amp 956 Mk2 is a completely balanced designed amplifier with DC-coupled without using any distorting capacitors in the signal path. It is also sports the same cool looking heat sinks and elegant enclosure. (more)
