The Genesis 5.2 is the latest generation of the revered 5-Series loudspeakers starting with the Genesis V in 1994. It comes from immaculate pedigree; the second generation G500 was reviewed by Stereophile, and received numerous accolades and recommendations. The third generation G501 was our best seller for the past 3 years, and became renown for setting standards in bass performance and musical coherence.

The new G5.2 is a diminutive giant. Other full-range speakers are behemoths – they are taller, wider, deeper, or just plain BIG. The G5.2 delivers profoundly powerful bass and a huge life-like soundstage in a beautiful, graceful, and physically unobtrusive form. Beautiful natural wood veneers or high gloss finishes are available to complement the décor of any home.

It delivers all music, from the simple to the large and complex, as it was intended at the performance. This is what we mean by absolute fidelity™. The G5.2 transports the musical performer, be it a soloist or a 100-piece orchestra, into your home for your private enjoyment.

Recent improvements in computer modeling for crossover networks allowed Genesis to take this venerable design to the next logical step. However, no amount of computer software could have replaced the years of experience and extensive listening needed to tweak the crossover to its final conclusion. Along the way, new crossover components were developed to execute the design.

While the G5.2 is first and foremost a loudspeaker for music, doing duty as part of a home theater system would not embarrass it. It will play to audacious levels, and bass response is full and extended with the built-in 500W servo-controlled bass amplifier and three 8” aluminum cone woofers per channel.

For this, our LFE Blend™ technology was also incorporated in the G5.2. A unique input for low-frequency effects (LFE) allows this signal to be seamlessly blended with the normal bass signal – allowing the G5.2 to be used in a multi-channel music or home theater application, as well as for normal stereo use – at the same time.
