Founders of Piega, Kurt Scheuch and Leo Greiner started the company in 1986 in a small town called Horgen by Lake Zurich. They started to turn their shared dream into reality:
They designed a tweeter, which the world had never experienced before. The result of this was the LDR ribbon, which in terms of its accurate sound reproduction and efficiency, surpassed all conventional dome tweeters.
Afterward other innovative products followed: a satellite subwoofer combination; the first column speaker made from metal composite; a ribbon midrange; loudspeakers with a tear-drop shaped chromium steel designer and later aluminum; and the world's first coaxial ribbon midrange/tweeter.
The success story keep going on and on till present day.
